Black & White traditional film photography printed by just about every method over the last 35 years. I still use the original negative frame as the border for my images.

Repeated layers of watercolor applied to rough cold pressed paper become progressively richer, I focus on preserving the key moments of light to the very end by painting the light as negative space
Capturing people and place through the lens of an architect with a focus on negative space, high contrast, and atmospheric depth.
Open-frame display with archival UV seal applied to painting for direct, intimate viewing.

My floor cloths start as heavy canvas, cut to size and hemmed. Acrylic paint is used on the front and back surfaces, completely filling the weave on the front. The design is sketched in and then painted in bright colors with acrylic art paint. The durable, high gloss finish is created by applying multiple layers of polyurethane varnish to all surfaces, producing functional art pieces. Sizes range from 2'x 3' mats to 6' x 9' room size rugs, in round, rectangular, square, and long runner shapes.

I use green wood from the area surrounding my shop to create bowls. The bowls are turned using the once turned technique, I turn the wood while green to final size and shape then put aside to dry. While drying it moves and distorts. Once dry I embellish the bowl and then apply finish.

In a unique process copper wire is hand molded and fused at high temperature with tin. Then alloys are applied, reheated, and worked for texture. The tree is mounted into rock and finished with patinas, resin, and/or metal leaf.

I create functional ceramic pieces that bring a little joy to the daily grind. My colorful gradients add a touch of modern to the traditional medium. Each piece is thrown on the wheel and therefore unique. My surface treatment is playful and bright, yet sophisticated. I’m driven by the challenge of ceramics and the endless possibility of the medium. Much of my personality shows through my work. The gradients imply a painterly spontaneity, and my patterns a deliberate discipline to a plan. My hope is to evoke a feeling of delight from the viewer, much like I experience when I see a piece finally complete. Each piece is thrown on the wheel, hand altered, hand painted with slip in colorful combinations, glazed & fired multiple times. Many are detailed w/ gold luster and fired a third time!

I create fine, realistic Prismacolor color pencil drawings on acid free papers, boards and handmade papers. These primarily feature traditional still life and floral motifs. I work with bright, intense colors and realistic imagery to produce appealing, decorative drawings.

Wheel thrown pottery in which I draw patterns onto each piece, then carve the patterns into the clay. After they have been glazed and fired I fill in the carved lines with grout.
